A good Friday update

The title might be a little deceiving because this isn't necessarily the best update. Our trip to Coromandel has been put on hold. We had everything figured out-- the transportation, the lodging, the activities-- and then Mary called a company to set up a shuttle ride to the beach when she was told that the beach was closed. CLOSED! It ended up not technically being closed but the path to the beach has been shut down because there were mud slides after a tropical storm last week. It's ok though, we're just going to go back there another weekend and go to Waiheke Island this weekend and rent bikes, go to the beach, and drink wine at wineries. Try not to cry for us. Below is how I feel about tropical storms ruining my plans...

The only other update that I have for today is that we've found 60 cent ice cream cones at both McDonalds and Burger King. That's like 47 cents at home. Delicious.
